The downbeat is the first beat of a measure - a call to begin. Inspired by the pulse of music, our dance fitness classes blend choreography and aerobics to unlock your confidence, flow, and endurance.

[dance fit]
Dance fitness workouts that don’t just get you sweating - you’ll learn real dance technique and combinations in flow.
All our dance fitness classes are taught using a simple, approachable system. You’ll start by marching in place, then add on footwork, arms, and technique to break down each move. We’ll put moves back-to-back to form combinations, and by the end of the class you’ll have learned a whole mini-choreography. Each class is self-contained and drop-in friendly.
Because we build up the moves from the very basics, modifications are always clearly available and encouraged. There is tons of repetition for learning, but it’s never boring. The goal of these classes is to move, not to dance perfectly (although you’ll certainly improve your dance skills as well).
[dance lab]
True dance classes designed to teach you the foundations, techniques, and artistry of various dance styles in an accessible and welcoming way.
Perfect for adult beginners and recreational dancers, these classes focus on breaking down technique, combos, and performance skills without the pressure of formal dance training.
You’ll build confidence in your movement vocabulary while exploring musicality, posture, styling, and flow. Each class is self-contained and drop-in friendly, but regular attendance will help you progress and deepen your skills over time.
While these classes will get you moving, the emphasis is on dance as an art and personal expression rather than a cardio workout. Come ready to learn, create, and enjoy the process.
[performance series]
Progressive class series designed for dancers who want to polish a full choreography and share it on stage.
Ready to take your dancing to the next level? Over the course of several weeks, you’ll meet with the same group of dancers to learn, refine, and rehearse a complete dance piece with the goal of performing it at a showcase, special event, or video shoot at the end of the series.
These are closed, progressive classes. You’ll sign up for the entire series (typically 6–12 weeks) and build upon what you learn each session. This structure allows you to dive deeper into technique, musicality, and performance skills than drop-in classes allow.
Performance series are open to all levels unless otherwise specified. Challenge yourself, gain stage confidence, and be part of a supportive dance community.
