This is a completely free, community-powered event uplifting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ creatives through art, performance, and collective celebration.
Line Dance with Jo (10-10:45am)
“Bring in the Katz” is a popular Baltimore-style line dance known for its smooth grooves, energetic footwork, and crowd-friendly vibe. Danced to upbeat Baltimore club music, it has become a favorite at cookouts, social gatherings, and dance events throughout the region. Easy to learn yet fun to perform, this dance brings people together through rhythm, movement, and community.
Meet Your Instructor
Jo is a dance instructor, performer, and co-owner of FLD Studios in Fayetteville. Her dance background began at age 8, where she trained in modern, African, and tap dance styles before discovering her love of Latin dance in 2016. She now specializes in Salsa, Bachata, and Urban Kiz. Her teaching style blends technique, musicality, and fun, making dance accessible to students of all experience levels.

Nikki will teach a fun, easy-to-follow choreography that includes one of this year’s biggest viral TikTok dances. All ages and skill levels are welcome - come learn some fresh steps and explore this South African music genre that’s taking the internet by storm!

Nikki is a dance lover, movement nerd, and your hype woman on the dance floor! Since falling head over hip scarf for bellydance in 2009, she’s trained in a range of styles including Egyptian raqs sharqi, Hula, Tahitian, Kizomba, Semba, and other rhythm-rich dance styles that celebrate joy, expression, and community. After years of study, she started teaching in 2022 and has been helping students sweat, shimmy, and build confidence ever since. Her classes are all about good vibes, great music, and making movement feel fun, whether you’re a total beginner or already living your dance fantasy. She’s here to help you find your confidence, your groove, and maybe your new favorite way to move.
